Gary Hollingsbee’s review published on Letterboxd:
I must be getting old. Not only was I pretty disappointed with The Suicide Squad but I also fell asleep for 10 minutes somewhere in the second half around the time Peter Capaldi’s Malcom Tuckeresque Thinker turned up. There are some great scenes - particularly the trippy ones when Harley Quinn massacres lots of soldiers - but the whole thing seemed like a series of joke-based and action scenes stringed together in a slight plot. It was close to a video game plot. It’s watchable. (I really wanted the Justice League to turn up at the end to deal with Starro…).
