It’s been 3 days since I’ve watched this film and I’m still emotionally devastated.
Thanks a lot, Daniels.

raiden got me triggered cause he's such an asian dad smh
stay for the gory fight scenes and watch someone (literally) get split in half right after being introduced!!!
honestly don't even know where to begin with this film! bewildering, transfixing and altogether off-kilter, Annette is, if anything, a spectacle from start to finish.
this is a film that seems to break all of the genre conventions that come with a movie musical and instead reshapes it in carax's ingenius image. compare this film to the last musical i watched, chu's in the heights, and the differences are as clear as night and day.
puppetry? live singing? in-your-face editing?…
