I want to formally apologize for being a Grand Budapest-anti for the past few months. My earlier opinion of it being overrated and incoherent was irresponsible and the product of watching shitty online copies without subtitles. Wes Anderson stans, please forgive me.
This film is like a dollhouse; it’s a masterclass in world building and set design and shows me a world I want to live in forever. It’s dry humor and childish yet incredibly adult tone is on point and something only Anderson can pull off. Truly beautiful.
