THIS is how you do a horror movie sequel. Arguably more compelling characters than the original, far deeper themes, more realised performances from both Heather Langenkamp and Robert Englund and a kick ass end credits song to cap it off. Also, such a fucked up idea to have Freddy utilise the deep seated trauma of his victims against them. This movie is so underrated, man - 4/5

This movie is SHEER creativity. Wes Craven is a goddamn genius who deserves all the goddamn praise he gets. I mean he put Johnny Depp in a crop top and 👏 MADE 👏 IT 👏 WORK 👏. The only thing stopping this movie from being a masterpiece is that god awful studio ending. Yikes - 4/5

This is just one of those perfect movies. Watched it with my Mum and it was still just as good as it always is. Not much else to say that hasn’t already been said - 5/5

Mum liked it but didn’t think it was scary enough ://

I couldn’t help but notice some parallels between this movie and Ron Howard’s “The Cat in the Hat”. Both feature a creepy, titular character who stumble into the lives of two ordinary people. They both feature Alec Baldwin in a key role. Even the director of “Cat in the Hat” was the production designer for this film. Let’s face it, Beetlejuice walked so the Cat could run. Two incredible films - 4/5
