I can't say that I know what this is about or how the plot works exactly, but I know it's one of the most mystifying, moving, cosmic, human films I've ever seen. I was endlessly baffled by all the things I saw, and it's a result of pure filmmaking. This is what boldness looks like. I think it's incredible to make a film about everything and everyone in this world, but to narrow it down to a boy who suffers from mental illness, is tortured by the looming doom of the world, but finds a love, and decides to save the world. And that even though he's gone when it all starts again, it all still happened and the people are saved to live their lives without ever knowing what he did, but seeing signs of it everywhere they look. It's almost 1:30 in the morning, and I'm watching this again right now.
