    Made me thirsty

  • Battle at Big Rock

★★★ Watched by Liam Navey 09 Aug 2022

It's crazy watching this and seeing just how badly they managed to fuck up this concept in dominion

  • Full Metal Jacket

    Full Metal Jacket 1987

    ★★★★★ Rewatched by Liam Navey 08 Aug 2022 1

I like to think that my taste in film has changed a bit over the years and that I'm always trying to expand my appreciation for film and get into new shit but every single time I come back to kubrick it blows my mind

  • Bullet Train

    Bullet Train 2022

★★ Watched by Liam Navey 08 Aug 2022

Fun at first, then boring, then annoying, then so exhausting to watch it actually put me to sleep despite all of the apparent on screen carnage. Brian Tyree Henry's british accent drops off brutally in some scenes which was actually pretty funny. Brad Pitt looked like he was having fun.

  • Prey

    Prey 2022

★★★½ Watched by Liam Navey 07 Aug 2022

Wastes absolutely no time, if you know what it's about and you think it sounds cool you'll probably like it. Does exactly what it says on the tin

  • Halloween: Resurrection

    Halloween: Resurrection 2002

    ½ Watched by Liam Navey 04 Aug 2022 1

I feel a bit bad rating it when I didn't actually watch it all but it was literally impossible to sit through. Unironically one of the worst films I've ever seen

  • The Card Counter

    The Card Counter 2021

★★★★½ Rewatched by Liam Navey 01 Aug 2022

Even better the second time around, a very underrated film

The only thing that drags it down slightly is Tiffany Haddish feeling out of place but on the whole this is a well calculated, dark and nasty film with some incredible performances and some great (if slightly predictable) writing/directing from schrader. I know what I want when I go into a film like this and it really delivers

  • Over Her Dead Body

    Over Her Dead Body 2008

★★ Watched by Liam Navey 01 Aug 2022

It's obviously not good but I like it

  • American Made

    American Made 2017

★★★½ Watched by Liam Navey 30 Jul 2022

Tom cruise is excellent as expected but the film itself is very good which I did not expect. Pulls a lot from other true crime films but has enough charm and post production flair to remain interesting, 2 hours flew by (pun intended)

  • Con Air

    Con Air 1997

★★★★ Watched by Liam Navey 29 Jul 2022

    Pure entertainment

  • Aguirre, the Wrath of God

Aguirre, the Wrath of God 1972

    ★★★★½ Watched by Liam Navey 28 Jul 2022 2

Insane, gritty, physical filmmaking on a massive scale

  • A Touch of Sin

    A Touch of Sin 2013

★★★½ Watched by Liam Navey 27 Jul 2022

Bleak, just the way I like it
