Logan’s review published on Letterboxd:
This was fine? Like I was expecting bigger things based on this movies acclaim, but it just remained pretty fun and that's about it.
It's Linklater, so of course I was expecting a purposefully laid back vibe, with scenes of just characters talking about whatever, and it sorta works out here, I think it just spreads itself slightly too thin and doesn't say much by the end. But then maybe that's the point, that you should just kick back, vibe with the homies and enjoy life. But I think it's overstuffed with characters that sometimes I got lost with it all.
There's also all the weird hazing stuff, and the way the entire movie is about women and Matthew McConaughey's entire character is a bit suspect, but it seems kinda aware of all this, maybe.
Idk man, it was kinda fun, it has quite possibly the most stacked soundtrack in film history, the characters were fun to follow, I think I just expected more.
