That scene with the crack and the wall and Bruno's place setting hit me like a fucking truck. That was fucking devastating.
Encanto is glorious. Most of the music is phenomenal, the animation is spectacular, and those main themes are the things that hit me the hardest. I was like actively sobbing the last 15 minutes.
The magic of family is enchanting when handled correctly, and Encanto pretty much hits every note correctly, from the family dynamics to the personal struggles to fit in.
One of my new favorites and definitely one of the best animated movies of the year.
