London’s review published on Letterboxd:
The Death of Stalin has a lot of great jokes and humor in it, most of it stemming from the sheer absurdity of its cast playing Russians with no accent other than their own. I do have to admit, even to me, it did start to wear out its welcome right near the end of its film.
The story itself wasn't super engaging to me and everything else in the film was pretty middling or mediocre, but I laughed extremely hard at some of the jokes the film had to offer. Not high class humor, but I would argue that doesn't actually exist. The film is funny, and that is all that matters. Steve Buscemi in particular had a hilarious performance. Iannucci has a really interesting way of doing political satire so I am very interested in seeing In the Loop.
But yeah, haha funny movie.
