Watch my Video Review here.
Underwater was better than expected. The directors other work I had seen, The Signal, was absolutely garbage, but endlessly entertaining because of it. This film is actually pretty decent. Good acting from Kristen Stewart and great creature designs.
TJ Miller was awful, and is also an awful person. But he was definitely the worst part of the film. And that it feels pretty formulaic at times. However there are some really great moments as well, and in my opinion the good outweighs the bad. The last 30 minutes are so, except for a terrible monologue, are fantastic. A ton of fun to be had with it. Currently the best movie of 2020 lmao.
