I expected to like this more than I did, but I’ll be interested to see if my opinion changes on further rewatches.
I belly laughed in Frozen II just as much if not more than in any comedy I’ve seen this year (much due to Olaf, who still likes warm hugs and is even funnier than he is in the first). Visually, this was much more stunning than the first film and my word is the music - both Beck’s score and the lyrical numbers - I N C R E D I B L E.
If you can, see it in…
“Death is never the end of the story. It always leaves tracks.”
I went into Incendies blind, not reading any synopsis or knowing anything about the film. I think it’s safe to say watching this has been one of the more memorable film viewing experiences for me of late. It’s difficult and sometimes painful to watch, intriguing, and so very moving. It’s not a film easily forgotten, nor should it be.
