    Everything Everywhere All at Once

"In another life, I would have really liked just doing laundry and taxes with you."

Yesterday when I came home from Thor: Love and Thunder, I was bummed out at the current state of film and how everything just seems so painfully mediocre right now. No creativity, no ambition, just sterile and glossy filmmaking with no substance.

Then I watched Everything Everywhere All at Once. And it was the cure for the film blues. Wow!

    I think this is the…

    The Northman

If David Lynch ever wanted to make a Conan movie, it would be The Northman

Last night, the power went out in the movie theater not once but twice. We got to watch scenes multiple times and had a lot of time to think about the film while they were getting everything fixed. And you could hear the rumblings of what people thought of the film. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

I remember really liking this when I saw it in the theater. Felt like a nice, fresh and different take on the wizarding world. But this rewatch wasn’t a good one for me.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them features some great moments. Eddie Redmayne is terrific as Newt primarily because of the enthusiasm he has when dealing with the “Fantastic Beasts.” He throughly loves these creatures. And that should’ve been the movie. Take a page out of the…

If you needed anymore reason to be a dog person watch this 80s creature feature schlock fest. Cats are also uninvited in my household.

I am normally used to Greydon Clark making pretty awful movies but this was more enjoyable then it had any right to be. The “poisoned” cat within cat looks like a muppet that spent too much time in the microwave but it somehow works. The rest of the gore special effects are actually quite decent. The final fight with the cat will have you in hysterics.

This is a pretty strong recommend.

Yes, every good thing you’ve heard about this film is valid. This one is a winner. After spending the last week watching this entire series, not only does this feel fresh and exciting, but it opens the door for more exploration in the Predator universe. I can say this with full confidence, it puts entries like Prometheus and Alien: Covenant to complete shame.

Feeling like Predator meets The Revenant, the film makes great use of its environment by providing so…
