Marc Horvath’s review published on Letterboxd:
DUNE is the opposite of the cinema the most people are used to. For some this may be an unusual and hard accessible movie while for others it will be a revelation about what movies in cinema can offer beyond the mass produced mainstream-cinema like the Fast and the Furious-Franchise or the MCU.
Don't get me wrong. I don't wanna say that the MCU is bad. I also love it by myself, but what I wanna say is that it's a completely different type of cinema compared to DUNE. Denis Villeneuve's Masterpiece is on a different level of movie making and art. A film that takes its time, demands a lot from the viewer and may offend many viewing habits but at the same time its immersive, spectacular and one of the most fascinating things I've ever seen. One of the best examples of science fiction cinema and a movie that won't be forgotten for the next decades while nobody cares about Dom Toretto and his family anymore.
THIS is the cinema I want to see more of. Go watch and support DUNE in cinemas and don't miss this unique experience.
