  • Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore

Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is a movie i liked a lot. A movie about Newt Scamader and the Fantastic Beasts.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is a movie I hated a lot. Newt Scamander shouldn’t have been there and the whole movie was a pure mess. There was no balance between the „Fantastic Beasts“ and the „Crimes of Grindelwald“ Plot.

Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore is a movie I like. Still messy but it’s s…

    Texas Chainsaw Massacre

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

Whoaa, that’s a real crazy chainsaw massacre!

But Ironically, this Netflix film's showdown takes place in a ruined cinema. The place where Leatherface - a legend of 70s horror cinema - is confronted with his supposed defeat. Well of course he survives it and gets back up in the end. But not as the character we know from cinema, but as a product from Netflix and Co.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre doesn't dare to stand alone and to come to an end. The ending (and the post-credits scene) suggest: Leatherface is ready to welcome new guests. And I think that's terribly unfortunate.

  • The Sadness

    The Sadness

Since I first heard of The Sadness as a "zombie-sex-movie" at the Fantasy Filmfest, I was highly curious and interested in watching it. Sadly I missed the opportunity. Until now: The Sadness got released in German cinemas!

Local media promoted the movie as "probably the most brutal zombie film of all time" and I think that's a weird way to promote it. Because it's not a zombie film. At least not by my definition. Secondly: The Sadness is very brutal,…

  • Spider-Man: No Way Home

    Spider-Man: No Way Home

Yes, No Way Home has its big problems and common weaknesses we already know from the MCU formula. Especially the first half gave me a highly ambivalent feeling. It had fantastic moments but many situations and character actions seemed too constructed. I was about to be disappointed because I didn't want another interchangeable MCU-Movie. I wanted Spider-Man.

But after the ambivalent first half, it got better and better and even better. The movie was developing in a direction that I…

  • Encanto

I am so proud of Colombia! The country I was born. This was one of my most anticipated releases since the first Trailer came out and after watching it I can say: This is exactly how I wanted this movie to be.

I’ve grown up in Germany but nearly my whole Family lives in Colombia. This year my mom went back to live in Colombia after being for 20 years (thats how old I am) in Germany. So Colombia is…

Well what can I say about this... In the end I was sitting there alone while saying "wow" out loud because of impression. What is going on in France?

  • Dune

DUNE is the opposite of the cinema the most people are used to. For some this may be an unusual and hard accessible movie while for others it will be a revelation about what movies in cinema can offer beyond the mass produced mainstream-cinema like the Fast and the Furious-Franchise or the MCU.

Don't get me wrong. I don't wanna say that the MCU is bad. I also love it by myself, but what I wanna say is that it's…

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

Wow I fell in love with this movie! I did not expect to get such a good Marvel-Martial-Arts-Movie with so much love and passion in it! And on top Shang-Chi has some of the best Scenes and one of the best antagonists from the entire MCU.

But when I say this I mostly talk about the first half of the movie that would definitely climb to the top of my MCU-list.

In the second half the film has unfortunately lost…
