Loren’s review published on Letterboxd:
LaKeith Stanfield, Daniel Kaluuya, and Dominique Fishback give the best performances I have seen in quite a while. The story that Shaka King tells is one of the strength, courage, drive, bravery, dedication and compassion the Black Panther party showed to their community and the movement. They were faced with so much racism, pain, white supremacy, and injustice but they endured and continued to provide and fight for their community and risk their lives for the equality that was denied to them since birth.
Let’s get one thing clear... the FBI is the terrorist organization here and J. Edgar Hoover is a racist, white supremacist asshole and we should be taught that in school.
