Ms .45

Ms .45 ★★★★½

SHE REALLY DID THAT! It's rare to see a really impressive revenge flick about a victim of sexual violence, and usually all we get is I Spit On Your Grave, but Ms .45 isn't like that at all. Abel Ferrara and Nicholas St. John created a feminist exploitation film with Zoë Lund as a lead that makes accent not only on revenge and violence itself, but also on a victim's trauma, it says that "violent delights have violent ends" in a perfect for a exploitation film fashion. But when it comes to her revenge, Abel Ferrara does what Roman Polanski does in Repulsion, he goes from showing righteousness of the protagonist to showing her obsession with violence as what it really is, an abominable and perverted act. Even when you do what you think is justice, the rule stays the same, "violent delights have violent ends".
