So I haven't watched this film in 15 years and I didn't remember much so feels like I'm starting fresh. It apparently had a really small budget but I thought it was beautifully shot with these sprawling landscape scenes and the car chases I guess they had to do in one take??? So this first film we haven't quite reached full dystopian nightmare yet but it's quite harsh for the bloke he basically loses everything then the world ends. Does feel like it was just a big set up for the second one which is fine by me but still a great stand alone to be honest. Hard to believe it was made in 1979!
