I admittedly found this pretty slow to begin with, but as the story developed, it really starts to become interesting conceptually and by the second half of the film, I found it pretty engaging. The cinematography is really nice - the only thing really letting down the visuals for me, being the dated special edition changes.

There were a couple of standout sequences that I felt were really well paced, even if the film as a whole does suffer from…

The first and second halves of this film are two completely different films. Learning about the behind the scenes of this film, it's clear to see this was originally supposed to be a David Nevin-lead film, and Sellers ended up stealing the show. The result is a film that doesn't quite know what it wants to be, but it certainly an interesting and funny film, nonetheless

Had some merits, but suffered from bad writing, and a pretty boring 1st half. Things do pick up in the 2nd half, but the horror scenes seem to draw a very fine line between being interesting and unintentionally funny. I burst out laughing a couple times.

Many of the performances really didn't seem to gel with me. The cast is super talented, especially Jake Gyllenhaal, so I feel like it may be in the directing and the material they had to work with.

An utter failure in storytelling, writing, characters, acting, special effects and quite honestly one of the worst Disney movies ever made!

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

The leading roles of DiCaprio and Pitt were really compelling and elevated my enjoyment of the film a lot. DiCaprio's role as an aging actor that is desperately trying to prove himself and remain on top was easily my favourite aspect of the film. Margot Robbie was fine, but I really wasn't invested in her part of the film.

My biggest issue with the film is the ending with the Manson Family. I found it a bit out of leftfield…

Honestly, one of the greatest movies I've ever seen!!! J K Simmons is outstanding and the level of intensity of the film was so real!
