  before watching I did wonder if ryan gosling’s  role had been overhyped but literally nothing could’ve prepared me for the performance he gave. I recognise this isn’t in keeping with the feminist tone of the film buuut: this is ryan gosling’s movie, I think he absolutely made it. 

  all the actors were perfect (kingsley ben-adir being a surprising stand out) and Greta never fails to deliver such emotional, poignant and personal touches, specifically centred on girlhood.  truly adored it🩷.
