Part retrospective, part activism, All the Beauty and the Bloodshed reminds us of the artist’s largest responsibility: truth telling. Nan Goldin does a remarkable job of holding the powerful accountable while also initiating change beyond what anyone “in power” is willing to do.

This documentary is a triumph not only in recounting the remarkable results of Goldin’s activism, but also reviewing the incredible body of work that is Nan Goldin. This is required viewing for all of us.

This film is almost as funny as it is heart wrenching. Adam Driver gives the performance of the year. Man can…
