A Woman's Face ★★★½

I much prefer this Swedish original with Bergman as the scarred crook who finds redemption to the Hollywood reboot a few years later with Crawford.

Bergman proves she had the makings of a star before she left Scandinavia, and the film itself has enough differences to keep you interested even if you have seen the later title, although it suffers a bit by not having a villain to rival Conrad Veidt.
