Trauma 1993
Feels like Dario Argento making what he thinks an American director trying to mimic Dario Argento would make. This only further essentializes Argento’s style.
I’m sorry I sat on this one for so long. I always assumed everything after Opera was to be avoided, but I was shocked by how much I loved this one. It might crack my top 5 favorite Argento.

It’s fair to call Madeline Kahn a beloved actress who left an indelible mark on pop culture, and yet that still feels less than she deserved. The world can never treasure her enough, and her performance here (as everywhere) is a gem.
Otherwise, Gene Wilder’s first directorial effort is somewhat formless and often very stupid, but also genuinely funny, so perhaps it earns its place in the Minor Canon of ‘70s comedies.
