Probably something which has been stated one-hundred times before, but looking at Yang's filmography his background as an engineer makes complete and utter sense. Yang's films feel perfectly balanced, almost mathematically constructed as to articulate a worldview, one which acknowledges that living is not one single thing but a culmination of things; culture, the personal and the impersonal.
