  • Insurgent

    Insurgent

    ★★★

As far as I can remember, this is pretty far off the book. It has some really nice camera shots in the beginning though.

  • Two Night Stand

    Two Night Stand

    ★★★½

Okay, I'm a huge Miles Teller fan and this was a fun little light-hearted movie. It made me feel warm on the inside

  • The Hateful Eight

    The Hateful Eight

    ★★★★★

Mother of GOD, was this an amazing film. The pacing is perfect, the expositional wide shots of the snowy mountains of Wyoming are gorgeous and the camerawork is INCREDIBLE. I'd say it's a mix of Django Unchained and Reservoir Dogs, and it's by FAR my favorite Tarantino film.

  • White Chicks

    White Chicks

Finally watched this movie, it's pretty damn funny

  • To Kill a Mockingbird

    To Kill a Mockingbird

    ★★★★½

Beautiful film. Gregory Peck is amazing.

  • Fifty Shades of Grey

    Fifty Shades of Grey

    ★★★

The dialogue is EXCRUCIATINGLY bad, but I do have to say the lighting and production design of a lot of the shots are both very well done. I pushed through it and I'm not sure it was worth it but now I've seen it? So that's a thing that's happened.

  • Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb

Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb

    ★★★½

A nice, fitting conclusion to the series. Not as funny or gripping as the other two, but it has its moments. A nice goodbye to Robin Williams.

  • The Book of Life

    The Book of Life

    ★★★★½

This movie is BEAUTIFUL. The animation style is wonderful and it's so heartwarming. I loved every minute of it; it was really a joy to watch.

  • I'm Still Here

    I'm Still Here

I couldn't finish it...It didn't really click for me. It was funny at first but then I got bored.

  • Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives

Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives

    ★★★★

Okay this one is so out there that it's HILARIOUS. Not sure if that's intentional but I don't know what's going on and I kind of love it.

  • Friday the 13th: A New Beginning

Friday the 13th: A New Beginning

    ★★★

Only half-watched this. They're getting worse and worse. The only good thing about this movie was that the kills were a little more creative and the scene at the end where Tommy is staring at his hallucination of Jason is pretty brilliantly edited. Other than that though, holy shit I can't believe I'm still going forward with these.

  • Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter

Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter

    ★★★½

Better than the third one only because the final girl wasn't nearly as annoying. Way more over the top body count, gory effects, everything. A fun, mindless slasher.
