lucy’s review published on Letterboxd:
well i really wasn’t sure how i’d feel about this because people kept comparing it to superbad and i don’t like superbad but... this was nothing like that in my opinion? anyway whilst watching it i got such a feeling of ‘this is exactly the film that we need right now’ because there is literally nothing like it. it’s one of if not the first of its kind. sure, there are comedies with women as the main characters but none are done as masterfully as this. the girls were real people. everyone in it were real people.
so lady bird, booksmart, the virgin suicides and the edge of seventeen are my mount rushmore
