Hilarious over-the-top Japanese parody of western musicals

I really enjoyed this, expected something more aggressive and brutal but this is really fun and heartwarming in a way. The plot revolving around this stereotypical musical family and their business is fun and Miike manages to do alot of fun stuff.

The visuals range from bad and ugly to nice and good. Altough im very certain Miike wanted the movie to somewhat look like a low budget TV-series, the bad lighting and…

Great dystopian movie which carries a super disturbing and ominous vibe to it.

Story focuses on a guy named Winston who works in this dystopian superinformation world where everyone and everything is being monitored and watched. Meets this girl and falls in love, which is strictly forbidden due to laws. Everything goes downhill after that.

Great swedish teenage-drama. Moodyson manages to pack alot of themes in this movie that goes well with youth and coming-of-age. The main focus of the story is, i would say, fuck what others are saying, imma be myself.

What struck me first was how much ”The Ketchup Effect (2004)” borrowed visuals and characters from this movie. Show me love’s visual style consist mostly of closeups and zoomins on faces. Once in a while we get a medium-long shot often stationary…

Works as a action movie for the big picture.

What the movie does well is editing, music and sound. The music and the sound was great, especially if your watching this at the cinema. The epic grandiose theme song along with some different versions of it was great. The actionscenes, specifically the on inside the bathroom, had a great sound aswell. The punch and hit sound was really enjoyable. Editing was good, it kept a nice flow with no bumps…
