2021’s 140th movie • 75/100
My first experience watching a spaghetti western was a pleasurable one! I genuinely thought I wouldn’t like it, but I’m glad I was wrong. What makes it insanely special is Ennio Morricone’s iconic score and Clint Eastwood’s attitude of defining the sullen anti-hero character he is portraying.
This is the first of three classic movies by Sergio Leone from the Dollars trilogy and I can’t wait to watch the other ones in order. After watching this one, I’m guessing this is a ‘slick and sleepy shoot 'em up’ saga that kicks up the right amont of dramatic dust. Exciting!
