wow, what a film.

i was very intimidated by this film because of, well, it’s long ass runtime, but it really wasn’t that bad to get through; i had the same experience with this film as i did with Tarr’s The Turin Horse, that being feeling hypnotized through the whole duration of the film and finding myself not being bothered at all by how slow the pacing was. i was completely immersed through all 7 hours of this film. 

so if you’re interested in checking this out but are veryyyy intimidated by the long ass runtime, i would recommend still watching it! i took a couple of short breaks and i think that really helped me, so i would suggest doing the same thing while watching this movie.

this was insane, definitely my favorite from Tarr, and is going straight into my favorites.
