One of François Truffaut's so-called classics, The Last Metro is smooth and slow. Made to be digested quietly.
A story about artistic resistance in the Nazi era.
Excellent performances by Catherine Deneuve and Gerard Depardieu and that's what I enjoyed the most, because I feel that the title of classic was too big for it.
