Favorites are my most recent five-star watches
Not exactly sure if I understand what I watched, or even sure if what I watched is understandable. It’s hard to really fall in love with this, since it’s so crazy and weird and out of order and nonsensical, but boy am I glad I watched this.
Those last 10 minutes, John Goodmans performance, the Wild Wild Life scene, some of the best things I’ve ever seen in my life. Really makes me feel like a little boy watching this; Hope is real, community is alive, America is progressing towards something, right?
What a special movie.
While this is a samurai movie, it’s the dialogue, acting, and cinematography that really impress me. This is the type of movie that you really can’t fathom how somebody could create such a thing. From the samurai recruitment, to the defensive plotting, and of course that third act, it doesn’t lose its speed for a second.
Would also like to note that I started this at 8:00 and finished around 1:20!
