Two lifelong friends find themselves at an impasse when one abruptly ends their relationship, with alarming consequences for both of them. (IMDb)
This movie was high on my list to see and I'm so glad I got to experience this in a theater. The chemistry between Colin Ferrell and Brendan Gleeson was great. The first act had me audibly laughing a lot. There was a lot within this that I connected with. Especially when it comes to how you view time and life as you get older. The effects of loneliness are very difficult, and I would imagine unique to each individual, which I thought were handled well among the various characters.
I did find the third act to be a little much, though. I really liked the direction things were heading going into the second act, but once certain moments happen it kind of drifts off a bit.
Overall, I found the acting to be great, the cinematography was gorgeous (I need to travel to Ireland ASAP) and the music really set the tone throughout this movie.
