Gwen Nicholson’s review published on Letterboxd:
"As it becomes evident that the moving pictures (or 'movies' as they've come to be known by the masses) are not a fad, a fair-weather fancy akin to the chalk-talks in the vaudeville halls, but rather a full-fledged avenue of artistic expression, a young man stands astride of the pack.
Young Charles Chaplin shows great promise as his mischievous 'little tramp' vexes and bedevils the so-called 'Idle Class.' As Puck torments Oberon, so too does Chaplin seem to attack social convention in a frenzied and sprightly manner.
As the new decade blossoms and matures, we will watch this young Chaplin with some considerable interest."
