Emma Stone and Emma Thompson are absolutely FABULOUS as always. Disney’s best live action spin off/remake so far and this is the standard they should be held to now.

It’s not the best Marvel film but it doesn’t need to be. Natasha finally got the solo film she deserved and we learned a lot about the character. I don’t want to spoil anything so I will just say it has some good action and really sets up future entries quite well. Florence Pugh totally stole the show for me.

Just what I needed last night. Feel good songs with a nice story too. Can see why it was so hyped up.

It’s not my favourite Pixar movie but it’s still a great watch. Some lovely moments and I don’t buy the nonsense that Pixar are “losing their touch”

  • Nobody

Who knew that we would see this side to Bob Odenkirk huh? Really enjoyable film with gritty violence. I wonder if there will be a sequel.

  • The Courier

    The Courier

Sheds light on a story that I didn't know about behind (almost) one of the biggest disasters of the modern age. Some very good performances here and if you like this genre of film then you will definitely enjoy this.

  • A Quiet Place Part II

    A Quiet Place Part II

An excellent sequel. Can’t even use the “oh it’s because you missed the cinema so much” excuse because I have been able to go for several months now.

This was actually great. It built on the great work of the first one and I hope that more people can enjoy it at the cinema. Hopefully theirs is more of a quiet place than mine. People walking in and out and chatting. Ugh.

This isn’t even close to being the best one in the series but it still has some really big highs. It’s totally wild and fits in where the series has been going with it’s action where it looks to top the previous one. Just didn’t like the story as much as the others and what it did for the characters.

  • The Mitchells vs. The Machines

    The Mitchells vs. The Machines

This is completely and totally bonkers. I loved every minute of it and couldn’t stop laughing. It’s very rare that we see something so different from what’s out there already but think this does that. The wild animation style and unique characters make this one of my favourite movies of this year.

  • Zombieland

Okay but what exactly is a Twinkie? I don’t really get the obsession. I know it’s kind of the point of the running joke but of all the sweet treats.

  • The Marksman

    The Marksman

Liam Neeson seems to make this kind of film every year. This isn’t one of his better ones but it still has some good moments.

  • Promising Young Woman

    Promising Young Woman

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

This one may end up being a permanent on my favourites list. It’s hard to put yourself in the kind of space this film wants you to go in and the way it walks you through it is amazing.

Some people may even agree with what some of the characters say to Cassie at some point. But every time she flips it on them and they begin to see what they’ve done. The Dean is the one that should have…
