Yes, it’s dated and the story is compressed. But there’s some truly great stuff there like the score and production design. It’s also funny to hear lines in context that my husband has used for years in everyday conversations (“Usul no longer needs the weirding module,” “My brother is coming with many Fremen waaaarriors,” and “Bring in that floating fat man!”).

Greta Gerwig’s ode to teenagedom and Sacramento still rules. It’s hella tight.

This movie has everything: Nuclear heat blast belches. Poignant post-war trauma. Godzilla monching on battleships like they are baguettes. A little adorable girl crying on cue. And a great JAWS reference (maybe unwittingly? deployed).

It’s a MEGA TON of fun. Well-acted, well-constructed and hugely thrilling action sequences. More of THIS please!

    Dune: Part Two

It’s jaw-dropping, breathtaking & wildly exhilarating. It’s an adrenaline rush to the head & heart, soaring in its spectacle-driven action sequences as much as it sings in its refined, evocative stillness.Timothée Chalamet & Zendaya turn in singular work.

Austin Butler is absolutely transformative, captivating & seductively evil. Yet another compelling performance from Dave Bautista. Rebecca Ferguson tears up the screen, rising to commanding power. Florence Pugh turns in career best work.
