Still one of the most beautiful, well shot, immersive films of all time. A wealth of metaphor, symbolism, wonder and fear. It should be near and dear to every film lovers heart.

I saw this once when I was very little. Probably on an early morning block of some kids tv station. I do not know who in their right minds decided this was the perfect movie to show on Disney/Cartoon Network/Nickelodeon
