Some wars don’t end.
Something about the banality and expansiveness of the deserts on either side of the Rio Grande, paired with the spine-wringing score makes for truly horrifying cinema. Not only because we see it on screen, but because it’s a realistic horror, a present horror. This is inspired by no work of fiction, these things occur in reality.
