Wonderfully subtle and patient storytelling, with some of the best performances of the year from the two leads.
A beautiful film, and as I see it, a commentary about how the pressure to meet and conform to today's societal expectations among young adults often comes at the cost of one's individuality and happiness. I certainly relate to and admire Miso a lot, who retains a sense of individualism and idealism in a world where those traits are sorely needed but all too often shunned.
Microhabitat is a highly impressive debut film. Maybe not fully realized, but certainly close. I look forward to seeing more from this director.
