    Spatial integrity matters.

Announces its intentions from the beginning with a direct reference to the "old movie" Waterloo Bridge, and the existential dread isn't relieved until the very last shot.

This is some kind of kitchen sink melodrama that seemingly exists outside of the history of film style, and where all possible mise-en-scene artifacts must be ruled on.

Lars von Trier and Gaspar Noe should be made to watch this film on an endless loop until they learn something about basic cinematic decency.

My first Woody Allen movie since Mighty Aphrodite. It will be another 20 years before I try him again. Hopefully one of us is dead by then.
