full disclosure: i was a kickstarter contributor for this filmé and i enjoyed it immensely when it premiered in theaters. i don't think this is a good movie at all, and i do think it exposes the worst weaknesses of the tv series on which it is based.
that said? i think it's incredibly watchable! and i never skip it when i do a re-watch of the series (which is what is happening at this date in time), and the series remains an absolute all-time favorite of mine.

I loved this. It offers a stronger first half than its back, and it veers a little into tropes that feel played out, but the performances are magnetic and it’s a lot of fun.
