  I was invested at first, but the film lost me towards the end, which should have been the best part. I also wish the film focused a bit more on censorship, especially being a horror film. I think horror would have been an interesting way to explore the topic, and it seems like a missed opportunity in this film.

  I was really hoping that my doubts going into the film were not going to be confirmed. Unfortunately, they were.

  Besides the new style, much of this film was the same as the original film, and the changes made weren't particularly groundbreaking. Many moments in the film occur exactly the same as they did in the original, and much of the dialogue was taken word-for-word from the original.   Mediocre at best. The movie lacked character. It felt uninspired and without purpose. There’s nothing special about it. Just a movie for the sake of making a remake.
