Finally got round to watching this. I quite liked the first film but maybe today I'm just not in the mood to deal with posh people because this was an absolute pile of wank.
To me.
I thought that Powell & Pressburger finale was going to finish the film on a high note but it just felt so hollow, as did all the self-reflexivity
love seeing experimental horror even if it doesn't always land. the sense of oneiric, childlike nostalgia was captured well but the concept is stretched too thin over the run time
Still in awe of Joanna Hogg's ability to bring the audience in and then completely push them away, emotionally. But also how she strikes a balance between the two.
FINALLY got round to watching this. Best slasher comedy since Scream, personally!
I was really quite taken with this adaptation. Laure de Clermont-Tonnerre has an incredible approach to sensuality and Emma Corrin and Jack O'Connell are remarkable. Chemistry for days.

God that was awful. Thankfully Lindsay Lohan can still charm her way out of a paper bag. Or out of an unlikeable Christmas rom-com that seems like it was made by a Hallmark AI generator
was alicia vikander doing a yorkshire accent? it was completely enthralling. she sounded drunk. she sounded like a swedish person doing a sean bean impression. her saying "I'll be yer lehdeh" was high camp.
Ben Kingsley's Liverpudlian accent was almost as distracting as the product placement
would not recommend watching during a pandemic i miss museums and galleries so much : (
