Everything about this film is cinematic gold. Paul Thomas Anderson doesn't miss a beat with his direction, and the performances put in by Daniel Day-Lewis and Paul Dano are revelatory. The final scene between the two is one of the best ever committed to film, so incredibly passionate and violent, both characters at the end of their tethers, unable to give any ground. That scene alone is worth the price of admission, and would bring me back to the film again and again even if the rest were terrible. Thankfully, the rest of the movie lives up to it's end.
