    A Star Is Born

    ★★★½

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

These are the kinds of movies I want to see more of!! It's a human story and it's long enough to develop like real life but it never gets boring. I love how Maine's music is hard rock and there's this unspoken clash with Ally's later music. The chemistry between Gaga and Cooper is perfect. The ending is sad in a completely different way than I expected. It's not just sad or nostalgic or emotional...it's depressing and heavy.

    I Think We're Alone Now

    ★★½

I liked parts of this but it just dragged on and nothing happened and then the end was weird and confusing. I love how Del's character is set up: his loner personality, his cleanliness and thing for organization and the fact that he's probably happier being all alone in the world. The purpose of Grace's character is obviously to shake this up but nothing ever happens, no one ever changes and an entirely new storyline is thrown in in the last ten minutes. Gets points for the deep-cuts Rush soundtrack

    Columbus

    ½

So boring, uninteresting and aimless all while trying to be deep and meaningful.  The visuals are as uninspired as the dialogue. Just so boring...I really don't know how else to describe it.

    The Love Witch

    ★½

It starts off strong, with an irresistible campiness and novel retro feel. About halfway through, however, the dreamy surface loses its sheen, becoming increasingly boring and repetitive. Samantha Robinson as the Love Witch never endears herself to the audience but instead well outstays her welcome by contributing nothing but a pretty face.
