    Charley Varrick

I hate reviewing movies like Charley Varrick because from the start I feel like the bad guy, or at least plain ol' wrong.

Charley Varrick was not a big success at the time, but became a cult classic years later.
This is probably due to the strong cast and being directed by the great Don Siegel.
Now a days it's known as at least a minor classic, and a favorite of many fans of 70s cinema.

  • Ali

The first time I saw Ali, it was a real chore to make it through to the end.
It dragged on for what seemed like forever.
But lately I've been obsessed with Michael Mann movies and decided to give it another chance.

Allow me to go through one by one. Keep on reading, because…

Rock 'Em-Sock 'Em Robots the Movie actually tells a human story.
Not a terribly original story. Not a great story.
But for a movie about large robots duking it out in the boxing ring, it's surprisingly and refreshingly more about the human characters.
There are plenty of robot fight scenes, but the majority of the movie is about the two main characters.

Hugh Jackman plays an ex-boxer who has been down on his luck and does his best to make…
