    12 Strong

I wanted nothing more than to wrap myself up in the American Flag, chew on a rare Burger and declare in my deep manly voice that 12 Strong is a masterpiece.
I surprisingly loved Bruckheimer's last saber-raddler, 13 Hours, and this one seemed to be even better. Mainly because Michael Bay didn't direct it and Chris Hemsworth is the star.

Let's first say that it is very un-Michael-Bay.
That is a good thing. It doesn't have his cheesy moments. It…

  • Galaxina

There is absolutely no reason watch Galaxina.
    None what so ever.
It's not even interesting as a bad movie.
And despite starring Playboy Playmate Dorothy Stratten, it's barely even registers as a good skin-flick or jiggle-fest.

I've rarely seen such a nothing of a movie, a total deadzone of cinematic magic or anything of interest.
The only thing keeping me from giving it a lower rating is that it atleast has some decent costumes for the aliens and clearly doesn't take itself seriously.

The premise is clever: it treats the concept of cats' nine lives as if they are past lives. In other words: we see the different reincarnations of Garfield.

Allow me to go through one by one. Keep on reading, because…

    Real Steel

Rock 'Em-Sock 'Em Robots the Movie actually tells a human story.
Not a terribly original story. Not a great story.
But for a movie about large robots duking it out in the boxing ring, it's surprisingly and refreshingly more about the human characters.
There are plenty of robot fight scenes, but the majority of the movie is about the two main characters.

Hugh Jackman plays an ex-boxer who has been down on his luck and does his best to make…
