Following a zombie outbreak in Las Vegas, a group of mercenaries take the ultimate gamble, venturing into the quarantine zone to pull off the greatest heist ever attempted.
Army of the Dead is a fun and at times quite original take on zombie movies, ignore the hate, this kind of escapist fun is just what I needed.
Las Vegas has been walled up due to a zombie outbreak with plans to nuke the city of the dead. Before that happens a team is put together and dispatched into Vegas with a mission to break into a vault containing millions of dollars. Getting in is easy, getting out alive will be the tricky part. Zack Snyder has a way with zombie flicks. What I liked about this was how the zombies weren't mindless, but organised. The story was engaging and the characters were likeable. It does run a little bit too long but it's not too noticeable. Dave Bautista is solid as the lead and heart of the film.
The best part was how they tried to change the hierarchy of the zombies.
