Mark Harrison’s review published on Letterboxd :
Anne Hathaway and Jason Sudeikis are superb in this lo-fi kaiju movie, in which special effects are less crucial than the emotional effects on their differently broken characters. It's so sharp, it's wince-inducing at times, and it grows out of the wacky premise in fascinating ways. In the very last stretch, it becomes that rare film where you can tell exactly what's going to happen, but still leaves you completely satisfied when it does. One of my favourites of the year.
