Gringo ★★½

Not quite funny enough, but an amusing thriller caper all the same. Everything unfolds pretty much predictably and a fair few characters feel haphazardly bolted onto the central plot. But it's here for a fun time, not a long time, and it just about gets there, thanks to the great, hitherto unknown comedy chops displayed by David Oyelowo, and Charlize Theron's deliciously vile turn as his boss, who leaves even Joel Edgerton's Trumpian boor eating her dust.
