DC is catching up with the shared universe that Marvel has successfully done the past years. Unlike Marvel superheroes these two characters do not need several movies in order to establish a shared universe. I hope that this is the beginning to a better outlook on movies from the DC universe.
The movie itself tries to pack all of that in 150 minutes. I somehow felt it was over the top and hoping the dialogue would be better. Snyder is more of a visual guy than substance. His storytelling revolves on what you see rather than what characters say. That what was exactly I think others are seeing as a negative. The dream sequences were fine but a tad to bit overlong just as the movie was. They could have settled for two movies but they want their share just as Marvel reeling in everyone to theirs.
