Dirk Diggler’s review published on Letterboxd:
Phantom of the Opera, Faust and The Picture of Dorian Gray all wrapped up in a batshit insane, campy and oddly emotional feast of a rocky horror comedy musical made with such love and visual flair by the master of sleaze, Brian De Palma. The satire is sharp, the music is incredibly catchy (i love that opening number), the bizarreness reaches operatic heights, and it ends with one epic, helluva finale! This film is the craziest ride moving in the most unexpected directions. Hilarious, yet tragic at its core. A real treasure.
