The tiring thing about life is the constant process of adaptation, it's terryfing how quickly everything you know about the world and about yourself can change. Not everyone adapts easily to these radical changes and Sound of Metal explores that with style, honesty and humanity.
I didn't expect it to be as sensitive and empathic as it was, it makes you perceive everything around you as the character is experiencing it, Riz Ahmed's performance is painful and beautiful to look at, I didn't want to miss any of his subtle gestures.
I missed being this moved by a movie, it has my favorite performance of the year so far and I honestly can't recommend you to give it a chance enough. It's a deeply moving movie.
